Concealed Fire Sprinkler Heads
Concealed Fire Sprinkler Heads are slim, discreet and modern in design and generally go unnoticed by residents. With a contemporary white finish, when installed on a white ceiling they become part of the decor.
What do Fire Sprinkler Heads look like?
Ultrasafe Fire Sprinkler Heads are attractive and sit almost flush to the ceiling. They are less intrusive than many smoke alarms, which over the years, most people have become used to having installed. Fire Sprinkler Systems work 24 hours a day work by detecting heat from a fire and will start tackling the fire before the fire brigade arrives, helping to save lives and protect your property. The images below will demonstrate how the concealed Fire Sprinkler Head sits almost flush to the ceiling.
In the event of a fire, the cover plate on the head will come free and once the fire reaches a set temperature, the bulb will burst, releasing water from the sprinkler head closest to the fire. On occasion, a second sprinkler head will also be activated to sufficiently control a fire whilst allowing time for the fire brigade to arrive. FAQ’s

What are the benefits of having a Fire Sprinkler System installed?
Installing a Fire Sprinkler System when refurbishing a building or when designing a new-build property will help in obtaining permission to create a modern, open plan design, without the need for additional walls or doorways. Your Architect will be able to advise further on this whilst at the same time satisfying the requirements of the building regulations to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of the building in the event of a fire.
The benefits of having a Fire Sprinkler System installed in your property far outweigh any downsides of the aesthetics.
- Fire sprinklers will control a fire, giving you time to leave the building safely
- Very little water is used to extinguish the fire, if you compare the amount of water a Firefighter’s hose would use
- As the fire is contained within one area of a room, there is very little smoke and water damage
Ultrasafe works closely with Architects and Property Developers and can advise you on the most suitable Fire Sprinkler system for Care Homes, Sheltered Accommodation, Basement conversions, apartments buildings and residential homes of multiple occupancy. Get in touch with Ultrasafe.
How often should a Fire Sprinkler System be serviced?
Ultrasafe recommend servicing Fire Sprinklers every year to ensure that they perform as expected in the event of a fire. Whilst carrying out the Service, our Engineers will check the Fire Sprinkler heads and pipework and ensure the system conforms to British Standards.
We also check the pressure and flow of the water supply along with the control valves, flow switches and test valves. The majority of the Fire Sprinkler maintenance carried out by Ultrasafe is on systems installed by our team of qualified Engineers, however, we are also happy to service and maintain Fire Sprinkler Systems installed by other companies.
